Love and Other Games
By Ty Kovatch
We were not afraid
But that was just in photographs and pictures that we made
Weeding out the insincere with love and other games
It was nothing
It was nothing, we were young
She only wore her eyes when she was with the astronaut
'Cause all the other guys made her feel so insecure
She hid him in her thighs
Thinking of her pretty things
It was nothing
It was nothing, we were young
You said I was worth waiting for
You said I was just like a gun
You said I was your only one
You said I was forever
The final acts of youth are waiting for our entrance now
Like versions of the truth we can't agree on anyhow
It was nothing
It was nothing, we were young
